Message to mention I could be held accountable for saying something wrong and damaging to Jim Wolf's credibility. The thing is, I'm not wrong on this issue. I have known about this issue for some time now. Ever since I started explaining the Z32's stock EFI system on here I've wanted to bring this topic up, but because I hadn't actually seen all of it in practice, I kept it on the down-lo.. The last thing I wanted to do was carry on about this and be wrong LOL. But between tuesday and wednesday, I've shown exactly how the system works.

When I found it I was quite shocked to see that they set both high and low octane maps to the same parameters. I had to double and triple take this to be certain. Fact is, its nothing that can't be corrected very easily. Just knock down the timing a few degrees and bump up the fuel about 10% in the low octane maps and voila. To be honest, because it is just that easy to do, I'd be suprised if they are even aware of all this. But, the problem comes with the number of people out there who have ECU's with this issue.

No need to bow down and apologize bro - there's no hierarchy here, except for the admin - they have reign over all. :)
